Practical workbook

Build a moisture log for one batch

Record: Date, stage, reading at each point, dried sample percentage, litres added and the position.

  1. Mark five fixed sampling points on the stack and number them.

  2. Squeeze test each point at stacking and at every turning.

  3. Dry one combined sample per turning and record the percentage.

  4. Compare each reading with that stage target before adding water.

  5. Note how much water you added and where.
