Record: Date, time, air reading, bed reading, position in room, outside weather.
Hang one thermometer where you normally read the room.
Push a second probe into the compost of a middle bed.
Read both together for three days and record the difference.
Repeat at the far end and near the door to see the spread.
Adjust the set point using your measured gap, not a book figure.
