Field notes

A useful batch comparison

Two beds share the same room air but only one develops poorly. Check whether they also share the compost lot, spawn lot, casing batch, filling depth and watering history. Shared air makes a room-wide climate explanation less convincing by itself; it does not exclude a local airflow or bed-temperature problem.
