MIDH is not the only route. NHB's model DPR treats a mushroom project as six components: spawn production, casing soil production, compost or substrate production, ready to fruit bags, the cropping unit, and processing or value addition.
NHB notes that the subsidy amount is the same for one component or several, and can be availed only once under the scheme. That one sentence changes how a project should be packaged.
