A seasonal hut depends heavily on outdoor conditions, but the crop experiences the conditions inside the structure and within the compost. Record the proposed site's conditions and study local seasonal patterns with an experienced grower. The suitable period must cover the actual sequence from material receipt through cropping, including a practical margin for delays.
Work backwards from the likely end of the suitable season. Put compost delivery, spawning or receipt of colonised compost, casing, cropping and room reset onto a calendar. Ask what happens if compost arrives late or warmer weather begins early. A winter label on a project does not establish that every crop stage will be manageable without additional control.
