One reading is not the whole room
An instrument gives a reading at a particular place and time. The three bed markers in the picture are different locations from the instrument standing in room air. A reading from air should not be recorded as if it came from the growing material.
Use a consistent location code: room, rack, tier and position. Record time, crop stage, instrument and recent changes such as watering or a door opening. Compare locations at reasonably comparable times, using a method suitable for the quantity being measured.
If one location behaves differently, repeat the observation and check the instrument before changing the whole room. Investigate airflow, loading and material history with the responsible operator. The picture does not specify the number, depth or placement of sensors needed on your farm.
Start with the intended crop, purchased material stage, room loading and operating calendar. These define work the building and equipment must support. A fan, cooler or rack quotation by itself does not show that the combined system can meet that brief.
Ask the responsible designer to state the design conditions, duty, utility needs, maintenance access, control intent, alarm response and acceptance tests. Compare quotations against the same scope, including what is excluded.
Plan staged checks: installation and safe operation by qualified people, instrument verification, documented room tests, then assessment under an appropriate operating load. Keep unresolved items visible. Do not use a conceptual room picture as a construction drawing or a sizing calculation.
Equipment selection follows the crop and operating duty. Record the intended stages, loading pattern, outdoor design context and working schedule. Floor area alone does not describe the heat, moisture or ventilation duty.

Racks, access, enclosure, doors and drainage influence everyday work and maintenance. Insulation limits heat transfer but does not create cooling. The layout must accommodate people as well as the growing area.

Identify supply, return, outside-air entry, exhaust, cooling, moisture-control and drainage paths. A list of components does not show how they work together or how a failure is detected.

Agree acceptance and maintenance
A handover should compare measured performance with the agreed brief under stated test conditions. Keep defects, corrective work and retests visible. Include documentation and operator training, not only equipment delivery.

Start with the room and people
The enclosure, racks and work routes must suit the crop and the people handling it. More shelf area changes access, handling and how air reaches the crop.
Walk the proposed filling, harvesting, cleaning and emergency routes with the designer. Check envelope continuity and maintainable joints.
Supply air must reach the loaded growing area and return through an intended route. Fresh air and recirculated air do different jobs; neither is established by fan size alone.
Ask where air enters, where it returns, how outside air is controlled, and how representative loaded-room distribution will be verified.
Refrigeration duty depends on more than floor area. The designer must reconcile crop activity, outside-air treatment, the enclosure, equipment, operating conditions and recovery requirements.
Request the calculation inputs and design conditions. Review power demand, water, condensate drainage and maintenance access together.
An installed room is not yet a proven production system. Commission the equipment, measurement system, alarms and staff response, then review performance under an agreed representative load.
Witness the planned empty and loaded tests, instrument comparisons, power-failure response and documented handover.
Insulated walls cool the crop. Cooling duty must be provided and verified separately.
One wall sensor proves uniformity. Compare representative loaded-room locations.
