क्षमता और उत्पादन प्रणाली
क्षेत्रफल, भराव, उपज और वर्ष में चक्रों की संख्या को स्रोत सहित जोड़ें, तभी वास्तविक क्षमता निकलती है।
- By the end you can build a capacity chain from room area to kilograms per year.
- By the end you can cite a published figure for each link.
- By the end you can name the constraint that will really limit output.
Each step multiplies the one before it, so a weak link caps the project.
- Usable areaArea you can actually fill and reach.
- Fill weightSubstrate per square metre for your method.
- Yield basisPublished range for the named strain, lower half.
- Cycles per yearFive in year one, six once supply is reliable.
- Kilograms per dayAnnual total divided by working days, checked against demand.

Rotate the rooms
- Notice
- Rooms can be filling, growing, harvesting or resetting at the same time.
- Understand
- Peak work and utilities overlap even when fills are staggered.
- Try it
- Include turnaround and delays in the occupancy calendar.
01The capacity chain
Kilograms per day is the last number in a chain, not the first. Start at the room: usable bed or rack area. Multiply by the substrate you can fill per square metre. Multiply by yield per 100 kg of substrate. Multiply by cycles per year. Then divide by days.
Write the chain on one line with a source beside every link. A link with no source is an assumption, and must be labelled as one.
ICAR-DMR's own model works this way: indoor compost, six crops of 60 days per room each year, an air to bed ratio of 1:5, and 18 kg of mushrooms per 100 kg of compost.
02Cycles per year is a management number
Yield per cycle gets the attention, but cycles per year moves annual output just as much. The NHB model DPR plans a minimum of six crops per room per year, using hybrids that finish in 30 days of cropping after spawn run. ICAR-DMR's model also uses six crops, at 60 days per room.
Six is reached only if compost, spawn, casing and labour arrive on the day a room is emptied and cleaned. One late compost batch costs part of a cycle.
Plan five cycles in year one and six from year two, with the reason written.
03Choose the yield figure you will be judged on
Yield is the most argued number in any mushroom project, so choose it openly. The NHB DPR lists yields under Indian conditions strain by strain: 14 to 16 kg per 100 kg compost for S-11, 20 to 22 kg for DMR-Button-03, and 22 to 27 kg for DMR-NBS-5.
The same document records a European benchmark of 30 to 35 kg per square metre at a 90 kg fill, far above every Indian figure it prints.
Name your strain, quote its published range, and use the lower half of that range for year one.
04What you will make and what you will buy
A production system is a set of choices: seasonal room or environment controlled, own compost or bought compost, own spawn or bought spawn, ready to fruit bags or substrate from scratch.
Everything you make adds capital, skill and risk, and removes a dependency. Everything you buy saves capital and hands a link of your quality chain to somebody else. NHB's DPR template treats spawn, casing soil, compost, ready to fruit bags, cropping and processing as six separate components for exactly this reason.
Settle each choice on paper, with its reason, before any equipment is quoted.
Write your capacity chain
- Measure the usable bed or rack area of one planned room.
- Write each link of the chain on one line with its source beside it.
- Mark every link without a published source as an assumption.
- Ask which link fails first if compost is late, and call it your binding constraint.
डायरी में लिखें: Room area, fill weight, yield basis and source, cycles planned, kg per year, binding constraint.
ये गलतियां न करें
- Starting from a daily kilogram target and working back to convenient assumptions.
- Planning six cycles in year one, then losing weeks to late compost.
- Quoting a foreign yield benchmark in an Indian project report.
